The University of Fort Lauderdale Women's Basketball Team received post-season awards in 2025-26. Coach Alberto Jemperrie won South Region Coach of the Year. This is coach Alberto's 3rd season at the helm. Each year he has won more games than the previous season and has developed all south regional players every year. 

Coach Jemperrie." I am honored that my peers have acknowledged all my hard work, dedication, and progress throughout the last 3 years."

Freshman Amelia Gatson received 1st team all south regional. She was 4th in the country in rebounding averaging 9.7 rebounds per game. Against Haskell Indian National Gatson had 14 points and 15 rebounds. If she continues to work hard she can be a double/double machine and the best rebounder in the NCCAA..

Coach Jemperrie, "I am extremely proud of Amelia's progression throughout the season. She had to assume a huge role within our program and thrived and the center position. 

Freshman Alexis Gibbs received 2nd Team All South Regional Honors. Gibbs had 35 points,11 rebounds and 5 steals against Haskell Indian Nation. With hard work this off-season,she can be an elite scorer. rebounder, and playmaker.

Coach Jemperrie: "Alexis is arguably one of the best players I've ever coached. Her versatility allows her to be our Swiss army knife.  She can be the most dominant player on the court offensively and defensively every night. There were times this season where opposing fans and coaches didn't recognize the impact she makes on a game to game basis."
