Maiya Petit,earned her first NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week honor after a career performance in a win over Trinity College of Florida.
Petit set a University of Fort Lauderdale single game scoring record with 46 points on 14-of-25 shooting.
The sophomore from Tampa, Florida, consistently got to the free throw line, hitting 14-of-18 attempts to secure the school record of 46 points.
Petit added 11 rebounds to record a double-double in the game and was great defensively with six steals.
