The University of Fort Lauderdale Men's Baseball Team finished the 2026 Campaign wiith a 32-11 record. The Eagles ended the season with a 4 game sweep vs Florida National University. UFTL won 7-4, 3-2, 17-5 and 22-13.
This baseball team hasn't lost a series all season long which should help them in the South Regional Playoffs and the World Series.
Coach David Ernst said,"
I am happy the way this team has improved from the start of the season until now. We have bigger goals to accomplish and I love our depth going into the post-season."
- UFTL is ranked 5th in team batting average in the NCCAAÂ (.319)
- 8th in stolen bases with 107 steals.Â
- 10th in RBI.
- 12th in runs scoredÂ
- 9th in home runs.Â
The Eagles would probably be top 3 in every major category on offense but they had several games rained out this season.Â
Team Leaders:
- Rolando Lujo and Bennett Clement lead the team in batting averages, .395 & .382.
- Michael Shleider and Lujo lead the team with 7 home runs. Lujo has 52 RBI on the year.
- Brady Jackson has been hit by a pitch 10 times this season.
- Jordan Lewis has 31 stolen bases.
- Jackson and Lewis were 1 & 2 with base on balls,
- Cameron Hillery was first on the team in wins. The Freshman went 5-2. He also led the team in innings pitched and strikeouts.
- JC Lampas-Gormley had a 1.45 ERA.
- Gabriel Mangual won the NCCAA Athlete of the week. In 2 games vs FNU he had 2 home runs and 6 RBI.
Your #3 Ranked Eagles travel to Tacoma, Georgia to play in the South Regional Tournament this week. The Eagles are looking to win Back to Back Baseball South Regional Championships for the 1st time in school history.
