The  #1 Ranked University of Fort Lauderdale Men's Baseball Team  put on an absolute clinic in Game 1 of the NCCAA World Series, dominating Nelson University with a commanding 14-1 victory. 
This was the largest margin of victory in the World Series in UFTL history.

Game 1 Performance Breakdown

• Dominant Pitching: First-Team All-South Regional pitcher, Cameron Hillery delivered a stellar 7-inning complete game. He held Nelson University to just 4 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 3 batters.
• Bullpen Advantage: Because Hillery went the distance, the Eagles' pitching staff remains fully rested and fresh for the remainder of the World Series. In stark contrast, Nelson University was forced to burn through 6 different pitchers in the blowout loss.
• Explosive Offense: Head coach David Ernst's  squad unleashed an unstoppable attack, racking up 17 hits over the course of the game.
• Historic Power: The Eagles launched 2 home runs during the match up, officially setting a new UFTL single-season program record with 54 home runs in 47 games

• Gabriel Mangual: 1 home run (3rd in 5 games). Since coming off his ankle injury he's been  a power hitting phenom.
