David Ernst is entering his 1
st season as the Head Coach of the University of Fort Lauderdale baseball team .
Over the last 2 years, Coach Ernst was the UFTL Baseball pitching coach. During his 2 seasons, UFTL had back-to-back South Region Pitchers of the Year. As well as 10 All-Regional pitchers.
The UFTL pitching staff also finished in the top 3 in the NCCAA in multiple statistical categories, while also setting the program record for single-season shutouts and team ERA.
Coach Ernst spent 2 years at Edison State CC. During his time there, he set the single-season shutout record.
Following his 2 years at Edison, he played for Wilmington College. He was part of the winningest team in the program's history.
In his senior year of high school, he was a team captain on the 2018 State Championship at Chaminade Julienne in Dayton.
Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. David now resides in Tamarac.
