The University of Fort Lauderdale Eagles won all three games this weekend. Women and Men's basketball defeated Beacon College and our Football team continues to be undefeated at home under Coach Cogdell. They dominated Jacksonville Christian from start to finish. 

Women's Basketball:
In their home opener at the Scott Galvin Community Center the UFTL Women's basketball team took control early on  vs Beacon College in their 93-72 victory.
The Eagles led at halftime 52-35 and this was a complete team effort. 

• Esther Joseph had 23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.
• Nina Solomon had 16 points. 
• Brinyia Rolax had 14 points and 8 rebounds. 
• Our bench scored 28 points in the win. 

Men's Basketball:

Our Men's basketball team improved their record to 2-0, by outscoring Beacon College 53-24 in the second half. This included an impressive 44-16 run, to win 95-77.

• Jimel Cofer scored 25 points, had 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. He is now second in the NCCAA in scoring, averaging 26.5 points per game.
• Sophomore Chris Berry had 16 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. 
• DeShaun Stigler came off the bench and contributed with 12 points and 7 big rebounds.

Men's Football:

The UFTL Football team has now outscored their opponents, 103-13 over the past two games.

• Freshman Jacari Ponder set the UFTL record with a 94 yard punt return for a touchdown.
• Mike Kelly had a pick six as our defense had 6 interceptions on the day.
• Urique Williams scored on a 26 yard receiving touchdown from Reginald Curry

UFTL looks to continue their home winning streak Saturday 11-9-2024 at 1pm.
