Last season, the University of Fort Lauderdale Eagles football team lost to Webber University, 28–0. On Saturday, August 29, the Eagles battled Webber to a 14–14 tie before ultimately falling, 20–14, in the final few minutes.

Despite the loss, the Eagles continue to show improvement every day.

Players of the Game:

#12 Quarterback Koden Brown
"The Chosen One" gave UFTL an early 7–0 lead with a 56-yard touchdown run. He completed 15 of 28 passes in the game.

#0 Defensive Lineman Nicholas Williams
After missing last season with a leg injury, Nicholas Williams has worked hard and regained his form. He recorded four tackles and was frequently in the backfield, disrupting offensive plays.

Nick said:"The hardest part about getting injured was not being on the field with my brothers. Watching them play last year was hard because I wanted to be out there contributing. It feels so good to be out there with my football family, helping us play to our potential."

#22 Weak-Side Linebacker Nathan Adras
Adras has become one of the most reliable players on a strong Eagles defense. He set a school record with a 92-yard fumble return for a touchdown, He also had six tackles, and played nearly every defensive snap.

Next Game

The Eagles will travel to St. Thomas on Saturday, September 5, for a noon kickoff at AutoNation Field.
