David A. Graham has been made the Head Men's Basketball Coach for The University of Fort Lauderdale
He is recognized for his extensive background in both collegiate and professional basketball, having played a significant role in elevating the UFTL Basketball program to national prominence within the NCCAA
Coaching Career & Highlights:
- University of Fort Lauderdale: Currently serves as Head Coach; previously served as the top assistant, helping the team reach consecutive NCCAA National Tournament appearances with rankings of #3 in 2023 and #6 in 2024.
- Professional Experience (ABA):
- South Florida Gold: Served as Head Coach and General Manager, leading the team to a 22-4 record and a semifinal appearance in 2018.
- Jacksonville Giants: Won two national championships as Associate Head Coach and was part of a team that set an all-time professional scoring record of 211 points in a single game.
- Atlanta Wildcats: Head Coach for two seasons, leading the club to multiple playoff runs.
- Collegiate & Other Roles:
- Miami Sports Academy: Served as Head Basketball Coach with a focus on international recruiting and strategic planning.
- Wilberforce University: Top assistant coach where he focused on player development.
- Hiwassee College: Assistant coach who helped guide the team to its first-ever USCAA National Tournament appearance in 2010.
- Ridgeview High School: Served as Head Boys Varsity and Junior Varsity Basketball Coach.
Education and Early Career
Graham holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Edward Waters University (formerly Edward Waters College), where he graduated in 2004. As a student-athlete at Edward Waters, he won a conference title and made two NAIA National Tournament appearances
