The 2025 South Regional Softball Tournament started on May 1st 2025 at Davis Field in Oakland Park, Florida

The # 2 ranked Carolina Bruins faced off against #3Paine College 

The #1 ranked UFTL Eagles took on #4 TBC in the nightcap. Both games were super competitive


Game 1 4PM Bruins vs The Lions:

Carolina got going early, as their potent offense scored 2 runs in the 1st inning. Paine College battled back scoring 2 runs in the 3rd inning to tie the game up at, 2-2.

Both pitchers Danielle Brooks (Carolina) and Kayla Carter (Paine) settled in nicely.

The 7th inning was filled with high drama as the Bruins scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th. The Lions roared back, scoring 2 in the bottom of the inning but came up short, losing, 6-4. Both teams should be proud of the way they fought all game.

Madison Hamilton was the star of the game. She drove in 3 RBI's in the Carolina victory. 


Game 2 7PM Fort Lauderdale vs TBC

The #1 ranked UFTL Eagles were led by Freshman Kaylee Wilt. The young phenom, had three base hits, including a triple and 2 runs scored. 

• Senior Katie Adkins had 2 RBI.
• Senior Kaylee Pitman had 2 hits and threw out a runner trying to steal second.
• Junior Cheyenne Southers had 2 hits, including a triple. 
• Senior Alexia Geary got her 31st  win on the season. She pitched 7 complete innings, giving up 1 run and striking out 7.

Piper Young struck out 4 batters and gave up 4 runs in the loss. She pitched very well on the road, in front of a raucous UFTL home crowd.

Hannah Wilen drove in the Eagles run.
