The University of Fort Lauderdale Men's Baseball Team and Women's Softball Team won the 2025 South Regional Championships last week, playing at Davis Field in Oakland Park Florida. Both teams will be headed to the NCCAA World Series next week. 

It is an amazing accomplishment for the school to win titles and advance to the National Tournament. What is mind boggling about this is...the Eagles have ONE head coach for both teams, Billy Glessner. 

Coach Glessner started the baseball program at UFTL 4 years ago. During that time, his team has compiled a record of:


2022:  35-27... World Series appearance.
2023:  35-23.... South Regional Champions, World Series appearance.
2024:  38-16... World Series appearance.
2025:  39-13.... South Regional Champions, World Series appearance.

Softball started @ Fort Lauderdale 3 years ago. Under Coach Glessner...

2023: 14-31
2024: 27-24...South Regional Champions, World Series appearance.
2025: 36-17...South Regional Champions, World Series appearance.

Coach Glessner continues to run both programs at the highest level. The baseball team is ranked 3rd going into the NCCAA World Series and the softball team is ranked 4th.

7 seasons as a coach... 4 South Regional Championships, 6 World Series appearances. 3x South Regional Baseball Coach of the Year, 2x South Regional Softball Coach of the Year.

Win or lose next week, Coach Billy has accomplished more in a short time, than most coaches do in a 25 year career.
