The University of Fort Lauderdale Eagles football team took an early lead and never looked back as they dominated Daytona Elite, 16-3
Darence Pierre-Louis caught a pass over the middle from
DeRohn King on the opening drive to put the Eagles up 7-0.Â
Pierre-Louis was the ultimate dual threat, rushing for over 100 yards on the ground and over 50 receiving yards.Â

Darence has been patient, humble, and hard working. It was only a matter of time before he dominated. He played great for us."
King had 142 yards passing and 66 rushing yards.Â
Julius Finnerson had 8 carries for 64 yards as the Eagles' running game was very well balanced.Â
Jean Telfort has been the most consistent WRÂ all year long. He caught 5 balls on Saturday.Â
Freshman
Coden Brown had a rushing touchdown to put the Eagles up 14-3.
Coming into this contest, Daytona scored 76 points in its last two outings. The University of Fort Lauderdale defense played its best game of the season, giving up 3 points and only allowing 100 yards of total offense.Â

Damon Cogdell said of his defense, "
I thought we played well and substituted a lot of guys. We need to be more disciplined and build off this for next week's game."
1st Team All-South Regional defensive back
Justice Johnson and the secondary did not let their WR's get any momentum all game long.Â
- Freshman Dante DeSantis led the team in tackles with 9 tackles and 2 sacks on the day.
- Jordan Nance, Donte Mason, and Jevon Brown had 4 tackles as well
- Jason Brown had a fumble recovery, and Jacquez Hollaway had a "big-time" interception to help seal the win.
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, October 18th, vs Crudup Legacy College
