The University of Men's Basketball Team has started the 2024-25 season with a 3-3 record.Â
The record is deceiving because they have lost all three games on the road to very good competition.Â
@ Barry, 85-83 loss.
@ Rollins, 75-72 loss.
@Embry-Riddle, 103-102 loss in overtime.Â
UFTL has lost 3 games by a combined 6 points.Â
Coach Anthony Anderson has brought in 11 new players to this roster.Â

We are competing everyday in practice and guys are starting to understand what we are trying to do. I really love this team and they way we are trending in the right direction!"
- The Eagles are ranked 4th in The NCCAA scoring 89.5 points per game.
- Ranked 3rd in 3 point FG's made (41 made).
- Ranked 10th in FG's Made.Â
The Starting 5 for UFTL is all averaging double digits in scoring.Â
Jimel Cofer is No.1 in the NCCAA scoring 26 points per game.Â
Chris Berry is averaging 14 points per contest and shooting 91% from the free throw line.Â
Da'Shaun Stigler is averaging 11 points and 6 rebounds per night.
DeAnder Pemberton and
Benez Woodard are averaging 22 points 10 rebounds combined and Woodard leads the team in assists.Â
Bench play has been phenomenal.Â
Corey Pope is tied from the team lead in blocksÂ

Vugar Kuliev,
Tomias Brand,
Matthew Brown, and Faizon Francis are contributing 30 points and 10 rebounds and 6 assists  combined per 48 minutes.Â
As the season goes on, this team should get better. They are deep, talented and super competitive.Â
That is a recipe for a successful season and possible deep post-season runÂ
