By Monte Perez

The University of Fort Lauderdale Men's Basketball Team walked away with 4 awards for the 2025-26 Season.

Coach Anthony Anderson won the South Regional Coach of the Year. "This award is an honor but it is not about me, It is about the coaches and players. They are the one's who helped me all year long and they deserve all the credit."
  • Freddy Reeves was named 1st team all south region. Reeves led the Eagles in scoring and was an offensive machine off the bench. On February 16th, he had 29 points and was 6-6 from the free throw line.

  • Corey Pope was named 2nd team all south region. He became a double/double engine the 2nd half of the year. He led the team in rebounding, averaging 8 per game. On January 31st, Pope loaded the stat sheet. He had  22 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and  2 blocks vs Carolina University.

  • Chris Berry was also named 2nd team all south region. On November 11th, Berry had 26 points and 4 steals against Beacon College. There is no one in the NCCAA who goes coast to coast with the ball faster. He was 3rd on the team in steals as well. Berry is one of the hardest working players on this roster. His hard work paid off this year.

Coach Anderson said," I am so proud of our guys and happy to see them getting the recognition they deserve for all their hard work and dedication to their craft."
