Women's Softball & Men's Baseball Advance To The NCCAA Final Four

The University of Fort Lauderdale Softball and Baseball team were facing elimination going into Tuesday's match up.

Both secured victories and advanced to the NCCAA Final Four in softball and baseball.

3:30 PM Eagles (Softball) vs South Western Christian:

UFTL was facing the team that eliminated them last season in the world series. With revenge on their minds, the Eagles took an early 2-0 lead. 

South Western Christian answered back hard, scoring two runs in the top of the 6th to tie the game at, 2-2.

Alyssa Dragovich led off the bottom of the 7th with a hard hit single. Hannah Hogan who was spectacular all day with her defense, drew a walk.

The stage was set for All South Regional Player, Alexia Geary to be the hero, and she came through in dramatic fashion. 

Geary hit a shot into the gap and Dragovich scored for the Walk off win.

The Eagles will face the team that beat them in the 2nd game of the World Series. #1 Ranked Jessup at 1:00 PM on 5-21-2025

6:30 PM Eagles (Baseball) vs Arlington Baptist:

Baseball was facing elimination and they responded by scoring 5 runs in the 5th inning and cruised to a, 6-2 victory.

Rolando Lujo broke open the game with a bases loaded double and Wilbert Javier-Vargas had two hits. 

Jordan Lewis had an RBI and Payton Casey got the win as the Eagles advance to the baseball final four. 

UFTL will play Mission, The team that beat them yesterday, 5-0 today, at 11:00 AM

Coach Billy Glessner has been flying back and forth from Texas to Kansas City. He is the head coach for both teams.
