Edil Pavon took over as the head coach for men’s soccer in the summer of 2021 after serving four years in the same position at Florida Memorial University.

Pavon has over 10 years of experience in soccer development and spent time as an assistant coach at St. Thomas University (Fla.).

He assisted the Honduras U20 National Team, a CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central America, and Caribbean Association Football) during the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup qualifier and is currently an official soccer scout for the Federal Soccer Association of Honduras.

Pavon has extensive ties to the South Florida area, having coached at La Salle High School and various youth leagues and clinics.

In 2013 he received The Max Press Positive Coaching award, being the only High School coach from Miami to receive such recognition.

Pavon holds a coaching license from the Brazil Soccer Federation, USSF adult license, goal-keeping coach licenses from NSCAA, and FIFA soccer license. 

Pavon resides in Miami with his wife and their three children.
