A proud graduate of Dillard High School, Class of 1981, Clenner was a standout football player under the legendary Coach Otis Gray, Jr. He also competed in wrestling and track. As a captain of the 1984 MEAC Championship team, Clenner had the privilege of playing under NFL Hall of Famer Larry Little, an experience that profoundly influenced his leadership style both on and off the field.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from college in 1985, Clenner returned to Dillard High School to begin his coaching career. As offensive line coach, he helped lead the team to two state championships in 1986 and 1989. His coaching journey continued at Northeast High School, North Lauderdale Academy, and Blanche Ely High School, where he made a lasting impact. Clenner also served as head coach at JP Taravella High School for one year, further cementing his reputation as an effective and inspiring leader.

In 2023, Clenner made the leap to the collegiate level, joining the University of Fort Lauderdale coaching staff as offensive line coach. This new chapter in his career allows him to continue mentoring the next generation of athletes and passing on his knowledge and experience.
