Job Description:

The University of Fort Lauderdale is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Head Football Coach to lead the growth and improvement of its program in Lauderhill, FL.

Responsibilities:

  1. Reads, understands, and complies with the University’s mission.
  2. Adheres to all conference and university policies and procedures.
  3. Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population.
  4. Assist in upholding community standards by providing neutral observation and objective reporting of incident, crisis and other situations that may arise.
  5. The Head Coach is responsible for administering all aspects of the Football program relating to academics, practice organization, game day management and preparation, player evaluations and recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
  6. The Head Coach is responsible for completing and managing an operational budget.
  7. The Head Coach is responsible for raising funds for the football program.
  8. Football community liaison.
  9. The Head Coach will work with the athletic administration to hire all assistant coaches.
  10. Ability to travel long distances and work weekdays/weekends.
  11. Maintains current knowledge of athletics policies, procedures, and conference guidelines.
  12. Support and participate in University Commencement Ceremonies.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
 
 

Qualifications:

Minimum:
  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. Five years of coaching experience
 
  1. Excellent communication and organizational skills
  2. Ability and desire to motivate student-athletes to succeed academically and athletically.
  3. Ability to work effectively as a team with administration, faculty, coaching staff, students, and alumni.
 

Preferred:

  1. Master’s Degree
  2. 2-5 years of head college coaching and recruiting experience.
  3. Knowledge of NCCAA compliance rules and regulations.
  4. Proven track record of successful recruiting.
